Tasting Italy, “the wonder foods around the world”, is a new publishing venture of Il Sole 24 ORE Business Media. The first issue came out in June 2009. It illustrates, relates and promotes the high-quality products of the Italian agro-alimentary system on the international markets. Aims: Tasting Italy proposes to act as a bridge between one hundred per cent Italian oeno-gastronomic products and the places in the world where they are offered and consumed, to enable their specific qualities and traditions to be discovered, together with the incomparable and vital relationship they have woven with their territories of origin. Circulation and pagination Bi-monthly, consisting of 84 pages, with elegant graphic design and texts in English (with summary in Italian), Tasting Italy is distributed to a selected mailing list of 8,000 addressees, principally high-class Italian restaurant owners around the world, food and beverage managers of international hotel chains that boast restaurants with Italian cuisine, Italian embassies, consulates and chambers of commerce abroad and certain selected gourmet shops and wine cellars. Tasting Italy is also present at the most important international food & drink exhibitions.
